Trocadéro Gardens & Square – The Classic Eiffel Tower View

The Trocadéro is one of the best places in Paris to see the Eiffel Tower. Located directly across the river, it offers a wide square with sweeping staircases that lead down to the Trocadéro Gardens and the fountains below.

Visiting the square and gardens is completely free. From the top terrace you get the famous postcard view of the Eiffel Tower, while the gardens below provide space to stroll and enjoy the perspective from different angles. On sunny days, the fountains create a lively atmosphere, and in the evening the tower sparkles right in front of you.

The Trocadéro site was built for the 1937 World Fair, and the buildings on either side now house museums. But for most visitors, the highlight is the view – it’s one of the most photographed places in the city.

Whether you want a romantic walk, a family outing, or just a great photo stop, the Trocadéro is a must-see. Arrive early in the morning or at sunset for the most memorable experience.
