Champs-Élysées – The World’s Most Famous Avenue

The Champs-Élysées is often called “the most beautiful avenue in the world.” Stretching nearly two kilometers from Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe, it is one of the best places for a grand Parisian stroll.

The avenue was first laid out in the 17th century as an extension of the Tuileries Garden and has since become a symbol of elegance and celebration. Today, it is lined with trees, theaters, cinemas, cafés, and historic buildings, making it both lively and scenic.

The Champs-Élysées is also the stage for major events, from the Bastille Day military parade to the finish line of the Tour de France. At night, the avenue sparkles with lights, and during December, its holiday decorations turn it into a glowing winter wonderland.

Walking here is as much about atmosphere as it is about sights. You’ll pass monumental views, bustling activity, and the unique feeling of being in the very heart of Paris.
